Technology Request

Title:

Technologies and products for supporting sleep development in healthy infants (Ref: 11 NL 60AH 3NGE) (Open)

Abstract:
A globally active Dutch company is seeking technologies and products that support the sleep development in healthy infants. Most existing solutions are based on light and sound. The aim is to identify durable solutions, also based on other technical or physical principles (either electrical or non-electrical) that enhance the natural behavior of healthy infants. The Dutch company is interested in licence and/or technical co-operation agreements.

Description:

The aim is to support the sleep development of healthy infants up to 3yrs (focus on 0-18 months) with new and meaningful solutions. Because during these first few years, babies go through different development phases, more than one solution might be relevant, provided these are tuned to specific development phases of the baby.

Solutions that address one of the following key consumer insights:

a) Falling asleep alone: “How can I get him to go to sleep without any help” (Relevant between 0-3 years. Applicable anywhere and during day- as well as night-time)
b) Sleeping through the night: “If someone could get my baby to sleep right through” (Relevant as from 6 months. Important not to interfere with natural behavior of the baby, e.g. when waking up because of hunger, help of parents is needed)

The aim is to find solutions which lead to differentiating propositions in market, either:

- existing products or

- products in late stage of development ready to be marketed soon or
- technologies proven on the core function with preferable a short time to market

Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements of the request

- compelling clinical or pre-clinical studies
- positive consumer reviews and post-market studies
- prototypes which proof the function & data supporting the efficacy
- solutions which are endorsed by Key Opinion Leaders are preferred

- Available professional endorsement
