Closure Date: 01/06/2011 Energy optimization and reduction in CO2 footprints are of utmost importance for protecting the environment and combating climate changes.

The main objective of EEOPB project is to ensure the optimization of energy efficiency in the selected public buildings in Elazığ and Izmir city in Turkey. These existing public buildings can be converted into intelligent buildings through the use of ICT based tools. Energy consumption can be minimized using wireless sensor network with devices in public buildings without violating peronal comport conditions and ensuring the quality of work areas. If the other project partners want to convert their public buildings in their country into intelligent buildings. This will be taken to account in the project. In addition, the successful results to be obtained from of this project may be a sample in view of applicability to other public and private sectors.
Target is to reduce energy consumptions and CO2 emissions 15% minimum value. In this way, converting public buildings into intelligent buildings in EU countries will provide a clean environment and savings fossil fuels and other energy sources.
