Proposal Outline:

The aim of the project is to analyze and validate innovative technologies that promote or enable the use of ICT for socio-economic development in low-income communities.

The project is developed following the hypothesis that through the process of using innovative ICT solutions in low-income communities, it is possible to rapidly promote socio-economic development. This hypothesis is derived from understanding the capacity, support and cross-impact of new technologies in different settings and contexts of society. However, it is necessary to be complemented by local provisioning content that empowers the development of the community, while respecting traditions and cultural manifestations.

In addition, it is of interest to the project to devise and assess new business models that enable the mass use of technologies for this purpose and support the creation of value for technology and content providers within low-income scenarios.

 

Partner Profile Sought:

 

Required skills and Expertise:

Partner 1: Project Coordinator. The project coordinator should have experience in managing FP7 ICT projects.

Partner 2 and 3: European Technology suppliers: These organizations should have experience in the development of innovative technologies.

Partner 4: Content provider: This organization should have experience in the development of adaptable digital content for children, mothers and community leaders.

Description of work to be carried out by the partner(s) sought:

Partner 1: This organization will be in charge of the administrative and financial coordination or the project.

Partner 2 and 3: They will supply innovative solutions for promoting or enabling the use of ICT in low-income communities.

Partner 4: Content provider: This organization will provided digital content for children, mothers and community leaders.
